Wine Description & Tasting Notes
Planted in 1971, Astley Vineyard is a family run, single estate vineyard in Worcestershire. They are one of the oldest vineyards in the UK, located in the beautiful Severn valley, just 10 miles north of the cathedral city of Worcester.
The latest addition to Astley’s Vermouth range is pink and intensely fruity. This Summer vermouth reminds us of a Tequila Sunrise on holiday. Partially sweet, it is delicious on its own, or drunk long with a pink tonic.
This releases uses an aromatic Siegerrebe base wine, paired with botanicals like Strawberry, Lychee and hibiscus. Astley’s perfect serve is with Fevertree’s Rhubarb & Raspberry tonic, or you could also have it with club soda or a light tonic for a more refreshing drink.
Nose: Bright summery aromas of Strawberries, Lychees and Peaches
Palate: An intense and juicy palate of Strawberry, Lychee & Peach. Partially sweet. Very fruity.
Food Pairings: Created to be enjoyed chilled, neat or over ice or as a long drink with light tonic or pink tonic. However we can imagine it pairing nicely with a summer fruit tart.
