Wine Description & Tasting Notes
Bolla was the first winery to produce a wine with name “Amarone” on the label, in 1953. After harvest, the hand-picked grapes are laid out to dry in hillside barns called “Fruttai”, to concentrate their flavours and bring added complexity to the wine – a traditional winemaking technique from Roman times.
Rich, full-bodied flavours of black cherry, prune, raisin and cedar spice with balsamic hints and a long, elegant finish. Aged in oak for a minimum of two years.
A great choice for rich beef dishes, especially steak.
