Wine Description & Tasting Notes
Since 1878, Enrico Serafino has been a family winery crafting artisan wines like you would make for your beloved. This careful dedication to quality comes from the vineyards spread in the UNESCO World Heritage wine region of Langhe-Roero and Monferrato. Their sustainable approach and meticulous execution allow them to craft a whole set of wines true to the terroir and the Piemonte Attitude.
The Barbera grapes are harvested from hillside vineyards surrounding the town of Asti in Piemonte. This refreshing, red-fruited wine is aged in large oak barrels for 6 months to soften and integrate the tannins.
Nose: Wide, elegant, fresh, rich in scent of small red fruits, violet and ripe grapes with very pleasant hint of spices.
Palate: Fine, fresh, medium to full body, very well-balanced with silky acidity and long spiced finish.
Food: It pairs with pasta, risotto, roasted meats, cheese, salami and typical Bagna Cauda.
