Wine Description & Tasting Notes

Enrico Serafino has been cultivating the Nebbiolo grape and crafting its wines from the same winery since 1878!

The Comune del Serralunga d’Alba Barolo shows why this wine was created for the village. This wine shows classic Serralunga vitality, power and balance. Using the best Nebbiolo grapes from a single vineyard in higher altitude vinyards adding to its intensity. Aged in barrels for 16 months and cellar worthy with a recommendation from Enrico Serafino themselves of 10+ years. A Classic take on the King of Italian red wines.

Nose: Black cherries, dried strawberries with hints of rose petals, dried herbs and liqourice.

Palate:Powerful yet elegant with well intergrated and persistent tannins. Fruit notes from the nose follow through with an undertone of dried leaves and leather. Lovely structure to the wine which helps this become age worthy.

Food Pairing: Highly enjoyable when sipped and savoured but loves to be paired with game, lamb and mature cheeses.

Critics awards:

91/100 Wine Enthusiast

93/100 James Suckling
