Wine Description & Tasting Notes
This characterful white wine from Enrico Serafino is produced in the Gavi area of Piemonte at their winery which has been on the same site since 1878!
The Cortese grapes are sourced from Enrico Serafino’s best vineyards around the town of Gavi to the north of Genova. Unoaked, the wine spends a little time on its lees to develop a richer palate. Showing floral and citrus aromas, with a minerally, dry palate.
Nose: Bright, vibrant wildflower, almonds, white and yellow fruits such as apple, pear, white plum and gooseberry.
Palate: Fresh, dry, characterful, harmonic and pleasantly fruity, smooth with a medium body, well-balance acidity and pleasantly long finish.
Food: It pairs with cold starters and seafood. Also excellent as an aperitif and with sushi & sashimi.
